About me

I picked up an interest in history when I was a teenager, particularly after reading Winston Churchill's A History of the English-Speaking Peoples, quickly followed by most of his other writings. I encountered Christianity shortly after I left home and about a year after coming to faith, I began studying Theology at Laidlaw College in Auckland.

Towards the end of my undergraduate degree, I became interested in blessings, particularly what it means to be blessed according to the beatitudes. This curiosity led me to focus on Luke's beatitudes and woes for my doctoral thesis.

In 2017, I completed a PhD through Otago University in Dunedin, with Prof. Paul Trebilco and Dr Mark Keown as my supervisors. Since then I am working part-time as a tutor at Laidlaw College in Auckland while doing as much research as I can.
